Founded on December 14th, 2007, Alpha Omega Mu is the oldest greek organization on the grid. The Sorority started with two women and then three more were added to have the complementary founding line of five. The lovely founding ladies of Alpha Omega Mu Sorority, Inc. are the starting point of true sisterhood. This is a true bond that was joined by oath, devotion, and dedication. A bond that was made to never be broken. 

AOM's founders all came from different backgrounds and had different attributes that contributed to its founding. It was while attempting to carve out a foundation in Second Life that Esence Dulce and Lala Nova decided to join another sorority. When they began the process, they found that the aims and goals of that particular organization were not in line with what they were trying to achieve. At this point, they decided not to continue the pledge process and instead struck out on their own. It would, however, require finding others who shared their goals. They asked Sunnibunni Lewis to come on board because of her knowledge and experiences of pledging a real-life organization. Also at this time, they sought Illisa Davison out because she had spoken to them about helping women of Second Life learn that sisterhood is what matters most. Last but not least, they asked Shinesse Madison because she had been friends with Esence for a long time and had worked with her on a previous Sims Online organization. This was the formation of our Five Diamonds of Genesis and the creators of our rich history.
